Technology Frontiers Education Centre (TEFEC) is a non-profit education facility registered in Uganda as a charity. Located on a 20 acre piece of land overlooking the district town of Ntungamo, TEFEC is dedicated to providing world class career driven education to children from poor rural households in East Africa.

TEFEC is a response to the unending painful stories of rural children in Uganda and elsewhere in East Africa who are increasingly being pushed on the margins of life by harsh geographical and market conditions that do not encourage investment in quality rural education.

At optimum capacity, TEFEC will have an annual enrollment of 2,600 children through its four constituent segments. Our goal is to nurture each one of our students to enable them succeed in education and career.

The mission of TEFEC is to close the achievement gap in education for female and male students in Uganda’s rural countryside through world-class post-primary education, training and career services
Our theory of change is that investment in providing quality education to children from poor rural households produces a ripple effect changing the lives of these children, their families and their communities.   Stories of individual rural children show that if you invest in providing quality education to a child from a rural poor family who goes on to succeed in education and career, you have provided the capital that transforms the entire family on a sustainable basis.   This way, TEFEC will change the economic landscape of these rural areas, improve the health of the people and create conditions for empowerment and democracy.
