Indira is currently working as Reservoir Engineer in Occidental Oil & Gas Co. in Houston. She graduated from Stanford University in 2008 with a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering where she also worked as a Research assistant focusing on Geo modeling. Indira also graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian School of Mines in 1996. Besides interests in the Oil Industry, Indira’s other interests is to work with organization that promote education. She also has interest in Indian Classical dance and music. She has learnt the classical dance form Bharatnatyam and musical instrument Veena, and enjoys running, hiking and venture out in sports.


Matt Pearce is the founder of MaslowSchmaslow, a web services company for higher education organizations. He has an MA in Education Policy, Leadership and Organizations from Stanford University and is completing a Ph.D. in Sociology from UC Irvine with research in Organizations, Higher Education and Globalization. Before studying university organizations, Matt held positions in university administration, and teaching middle school, high school and university courses.


Bob Schafer is currently completing his doctorate in Neuroscience from Stanford University, studying the neural mechanisms of visual perception, attention and decision-making. As an undergraduate, Bob was a President's Scholar at Stanford, and in 2003 he received his B.S. in Biological Sciences, and was awarded the Firestone Medal for excellence in undergraduate research. Outside of work and academia, Bob tutors high-schoolers in several subjects, and is a mentor with BUILD, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and educating underprivileged high-school students through entrepreneurship. He is also an avid nature enthusiast, an amateur photographer, and keeps and breeds tropical poison arrow frogs.


Jason's passion for education is reflected in his academic interests and professional pursuits. As a undergraduate at UC Berkeley, Jason volunteered at a local elementary school’s afterschool reading program. Additionally, as an undergraduate, Jason worked as a secondary level math tutor at UC Berkeley's Upward Bound and Professional Development Program. After completing his undergraduate studies, Jason continued to contribute to education by working as a high school math teacher in Oakland, Richmond, and San Bruno California. After working for three years in secondary education as a teacher, department chair, and WASC Coordinator, Jason went back to school and completed a master's degree in Social Sciences in Education at Stanford University. Jason, currently, works as School Program Improvement Facilitator at Antioch High School in Antioch Unified School District.


Karishma Baijal earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Delhi University, India. She went on to pursue a B.A in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University, UK as a Chevening scholar. After graduation, she joined Deutsche Bank’s Telecom & Media investment banking practice. During the three years, she worked on transactions in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa. She also worked closely with two founders as they launched a restaurant chain in London. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. During the summer, she worked at Bottlenotes, an online start-up in the wine industry.
